🌟 The WorkAid Fund: Disability Grant

Empowering Lives. Supporting Independence.

As part of our ongoing commitment to injured workers and Ontarians with disabilities, WorkAid.ca is proud to launch the WorkAid Fund: Disability Grant, a financial assistance program inspired by the legacy of Angelo Procopio.

Angelo’s journey began with a life-altering injury at age five, and since then, he has dedicated his life to advocating for others impacted by physical limitations and workplace injury. In honour of his resilience and commitment to justice, the WorkAid Disability Grant provides one-time financial support to individuals living with a disability, helping them overcome the practical challenges that can accompany daily life.

💰 What Is the Disability Grant?

The WorkAid Disability Grant is a non-repayable financial grant between $500 and $1,500, awarded to eligible recipients who require support due to their physical or cognitive disability. Funds can be used for any disability-related need, including but not limited to:

  • Assistive devices and orthotics
  • Accessibility modifications (ramps, handrails, mobility aids)
  • Transportation needs
  • Adaptive technology or software
  • In-home support services
  • Educational or vocational tools
  • Health & wellness needs (e.g., physiotherapy, counselling)
