Specialized WSIB & WSIAT Representation for Ontario Workers
At WorkAid & Associates Paralegals Professional Corporation, we believe injured workers deserve more than generic representation and delayed responses. They deserve experienced advocates who understand the WSIB system inside and out — professionals who know how to navigate complex claims, appeals, benefit disputes, return-to-work issues, chronic pain claims, psychological disability claims, permanent impairment disputes, and WSIAT litigation.
For over 30 years, WorkAid has proudly represented injured workers across Ontario. Today, we are calling on unions throughout the province to partner with a team that is dedicated exclusively to protecting workers and strengthening union advocacy.
BUILT FROM PERSONAL EXPERIENCE
This work is deeply personal to our founder, Angelo Procopio.
Living with his own disability, Angelo understands firsthand the physical, emotional, financial, and psychological impact an injury or disability can have on a worker and their family. That lived experience became the foundation for WorkAid’s mission: ensuring injured workers are never left alone to fight the WSIB system without experienced and compassionate representation.
Our team understands what workers are going through because we work with these challenges every single day.

WHY UNIONS PARTNER WITH WORKAID
Many injured workers come to us after feeling frustrated with delays, lack of communication, or limited specialized knowledge regarding WSIB appeals and procedures.
WSIB and WSIAT matters are highly specialized areas of law and advocacy. Unfortunately, many unions simply do not have the internal resources or dedicated specialists required to fully manage complex claims.
That’s where WorkAid comes in.
We are not here to replace unions. We are here to strengthen them.
Our role is to provide a dedicated and highly experienced extension of your advocacy team.
RESULTS THAT HELP BOTH MEMBERS AND UNIONS
The unions we currently work with have experienced:
- Faster response times
- Improved communication with members
- More detailed and strategic appeals
- Better preparation for hearings
- Reduced file backlogs
- Higher-quality documentation and submissions
- Significant reductions in outside representation costs
In many cases, we have helped unions reduce their overall costs by more than 50% while simultaneously improving service quality for injured workers.
Most importantly, workers feel heard, respected, and properly represented during some of the most difficult periods of their lives.
